Fifth person charged for Paulwell’s daughter, her mother’s murder set for Feb. 9 court date

A fifth person has been charged in connection to the murder of Member of Parliament Phillip Paulwell’s daughter and her mother.

He is Bjon Black, a suspected gun dealer who is believed to have provided the murder weapon.

Black was charged with two counts each of conspiracy to kidnap, conspiracy to murder, kidnapping, and murder on January 12.

He is scheduled to appear in the Home Circuit Court on February 9.

In September last year, Toshyna Patterson and her 10-month-old child, Sarayah Paulwell, were reported missing. It was later revealed that Sarayah was the daughter of Opposition MP Phillip Paulwell.

A lengthy investigation by the police revealed that Patterson and her daughter were kidnapped and shot, and their bodies burnt.

Leoda Bradshaw, a long-time partner of the MP, is alleged to be the mastermind behind the killing of Toshyna and her daughter. She is charged with two counts of conspiracy to murder, two counts of conspiracy to kidnapping, two counts of kidnapping, and two counts of murder.

An additional three men are charged in connection to the murder.
