Sport Minister Olivia Grange on Tuesday (April 2) met with legendary West Indies cricketer, Shivnarine Chanderpaul at the Ministry of Culture, Entertainment, Gender and Sport in New Kingston.

Grange says it was a distinct pleasure to receive the West Indies cricket great, who was in Jamaica for the Legends Cricket Festival. 

According to Minister Grange, “We spoke about his career which saw him making the second-highest number of runs for the West Indies of all time and also becoming a West Indies captain during his time at the crease. I told him of our concentration at this time on cricket development in the country, focusing on the youth and he said he would be willing to assist Jamaica through the ministry.”
