Popular social media personality and humanitarian Donna Growe, also known as ‘Aunty Donna’, is pleading with the public and members of the entertainment fraternity to provide support for dancehall artiste Gully Bop, who is currently experiencing medical and financial challenges.

In a video posted on Tik Tok, Growe shared that the Body Specialist had recently undergone surgery and needed assistance to buy food and medication to improve his health.

Gully Bop, whose real name is Robert Lee Malcolm, shared in the video that he previously set up a GoFundMe account where fans could donate towards his recovery but never received the funds.

“Di man weh put up the GoFundMe him seh it nah grow fast and me know that’s a lie. About two years now, and all now dat deh GoFundMe money cah come inna my hand,” said Malcolm.

An appeal was also made to get the deejay a telephone, so he could communicate with supporters who wanted to help.

Until then, for more information on how you can assist the artiste, persons are being asked to contact the pastor of El’Shaddai Prophetic Ministries at (876) 788-7991.

Gully Bop was admitted to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) in 2021 for complications from a hernia and blocked tubes.

The artiste rose from homelessness to fame in 2014 after some of his musical performances were recorded and uploaded to social media platforms. Since then, he has released singles Hope and PrayBruk N’Ave No Money, and Who She Want?
