Twenty-five-year-old Tevin Chisholm, otherwise called ‘Ice Bird’, of Fullersfield, Grange Hill, Westmoreland has been charged with the murder of 33-year-old Garnett Stewart, also of Fullersfield in the parish.

Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police are that about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, Stewart was at an event being held at Chisholm’s home when an argument developed between them.

Ice Bird reportedly left and returned with a knife. It is alleged that he stabbed Stewart multiple times, before a tussle ensued with both of them.

Reports are that explosions were heard and Stewart was seen with gunshot wounds. He was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Chisholm reportedly turned himself in to the police on Sunday, February 25, along with a 9mm pistol and two rounds of ammunition.

He was arrested and charged pending further investigations.

His court date is yet to be finalised.
