The Parliament of Jamaica is now in recess.
As such, the House of Representatives and the Senate, which constitute the bicameral Houses of Parliament, are now in recess until further notice.
During this period, there will be no ordinary sittings of the Houses unless otherwise convened. During the recess, meetings of Parliamentary Committees will continue as scheduled.
The administrative arm of the Parliament is advising that should there be any amendment to this notice, the public will be advised accordingly.
The Parliament of Jamaica traditionally goes on its annual summer recess beginning in early July and lasting until its resumption in September.
