Dropping his new single Bless Me at 8:00 pm Jamaica time on September 1 is not the only good thing happening in gospel sensation Kevin Downswell’s life right now.

He also has the best-selling book on Amazon in the spiritual growth books category for his book, Midnight to Victory Devotional: 90 Days of Faith, Hope, Prayer & Breakthrough, released on August 24. 

During an interview with Our Today after his breathtaking and powerful performance on stage with several of his hit singles on the PAN stage, which was held at Jamaica College on Sunday, August 31, he said it was not an easy task writing the book, but now, a week after its release, he is reaping the fruits of his labour bountifully, and he is elated. 

“The fact that it was so hard writing the book made it even way more satisfying, because finishing the book was the toughest thing ever, but then sitting by and watching God do weh him a do, words can’t describe,” Downswell said, before acknowledging that it took “a long time” to complete the book. 

“But 50 per cent took me like four to five days because it’s like God calling me and said, ‘If you don’t finish the book, me and you ina trouble’, so I focused in three [to]four days, and just got it done,” he said. 

He said while the book was in pre-order, he was still editing it on August 19, on the cut-off date, four days before its online release.
