Anusha Venkatachalam Iyer is an independent Indian filmmaker living in the countryside of Sichuan Province.

She came to China in 2018 as a volunteer at a farm in Mianyang, where she still lives, making films about Chinese culture and rural life.

In this feature video, published by China Global Television Network (CGTN), Anusha shares stories about why she chose to live in the countryside, the friendly Chinese people she met, and her perspective on development and change in the Sichuan countryside.
