Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited (MJE) has announced that, due to excess demand, its Board of Directors has decided to exercise the option to upsize the Invitation made under its Bond Prospectus dated August 13, 2026.

The announcement follows a strong response from investors to the secured bond offer, which had originally targeted J$1.5 billion.

MJE further advises that, with the Invitation now upsized, the Board of Directors will extend the Closing Date set out in the Prospectus from September 10, 2026, to September 24, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. The extension is subject to the Company’s right to close the offer early, with notice to be posted on the website of the Jamaica Stock Exchange.

The bond, offered through Lead Broker Mayberry Investments Limited, pays a fixed 9.50% per annum over a 36-month tenor, with interest paid quarterly and an entry point of J$20,000, in increments of J$10,000 thereafter. Investors moved quickly to take up the offer, meeting the original J$1.5 billion target ahead of expectations and prompting the Board’s decision to exercise its option to increase the size of the Invitation.

“The response to this offer speaks to the confidence investors continue to place in Mayberry Jamaican Equities and in Mayberry Investments Limited as Lead Broker,” said Patrick Bataille, CEO, Mayberry Investments Limited. “Meeting our J$1.5 billion target ahead of schedule gave the Board the option to up-size the Invitation, and extending the Closing Date simply gives more investors the chance to participate on the same attractive terms.”

With the up-sized offer now in effect, investors who have not yet applied have an additional two weeks to do so, with the Closing Date moving from September 10 to September 24, 2026. Investors are encouraged to speak with their Investment Advisor and to read the Prospectus in full before applying. The Company retains the right to close the offer earlier than the extended date, with any such notice to be posted on the Jamaica Stock Exchange’s website.
