NCB Financial Group Limited (NCBFG) has announced that Mr Julian Mair will become Group Chief Executive Officer effective November 17, 2026, alongside confirmation that Mrs Sheree Martin has been formally appointed Chief Executive Officer of National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited (NCBJ), the Group’s major banking subsidiary, effective September 1, 2026.

Julian Mair to lead NCBFG

Mr Mair brings more than 33 years of experience in financial services, along with extensive leadership, strategic expertise and regional experience that the Group says will support its continued growth. He succeeds Mr Robert Almeida, who completes his term as Group CEO on September 30, 2026 after leading the Group through a period of significant transformation and restructuring. Almeida’s directorships on the boards of NCBFG, NCBJ and Guardian Holdings Limited also end on September 30, 2026, though he will continue as a director of Clarien Bank Limited. Mr Dave Garcia, moving into the newly created Group Chief Operating Officer role from September 1, will serve as Acting Group CEO in the interim period between Almeida’s departure and Mair formally assuming office.

Sheree Martin confirmed at NCBJ

Mrs Martin’s appointment makes permanent a role she has effectively held since January 2026, when she took over as Interim CEO of NCBJ. NCBFG credited her with providing “strong, hands-on leadership” during that period and with building NCBJ’s capacity to execute on its strategic and operational priorities — experience the Group says positions her well for the substantive role.

Other changes

Rounding out the succession plan, Mr Garcia’s move to Group COO creates a vacancy in the Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary roles, which Mrs Ky-Ann Taylor will assume effective September 1, 2026, while continuing as General Counsel for NCBJ.
