Emma Raducanu is once again on the lookout for a new voice in her corner after ending her coaching partnership with Francis Roig, following her early exit from the Australian Open.

The British number one was knocked out in the second round at Melbourne Park, falling in straight sets to Austria’s Anastasia Potapova.

Raducanu and Roig began working together in August, bringing together the former US Open champion and a coach best known for helping guide Rafael Nadal through much of his Grand Slam success.

Their time together, however, was short-lived. At just 23, Raducanu is now searching for the 10th coach of her professional career. Her longest spell came under childhood mentor Nick Cavaday, who worked with her from 2024 to 2025 before stepping away due to health concerns.

Raducanu’s coaching journey has been a winding one since her breakout run at Wimbledon in 2021 under Nigel Sears. She famously lifted the US Open trophy later that year with Andrew Richardson in her corner, though that partnership ended only weeks after her historic triumph.

Brief stints with several other coaches followed, as the Brit continues to seek the right fit moving forward. Raducanu is expected to return to the court next week at the Transylvania Open in Romania.
