A 26-year-old vendor from the Kingston 13 section of Spanish Town Road was charged over a shooting incident that occurred on Marcus Garvey Drive on Thursday, April 7.

Pepito Smith, otherwise called Skull, was charged by detectives from the Denham Town Police with shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Reports are that a man who was part of a convoy of motor vehicles travelling along the roadway when Smith drove up beside them and opened fire at the motorcade.

However, the group of people managed to escape injuries. A report was made to the police and an investigation was launched.

During the inquiry, Smith was arrested and charged on Friday, September 20 after a warrant was executed. His court date has not been finalised.
