As CIBC Caribbean celebrated its rebranding two entities also had cause to cheer as the bank donated a total of BD$425,000 to support their vital work.

The bank, through its FirstCaribbean International ComTrust Foundation charity, donated $175,000 to the Barbados Defence Force’s field hospital to purchase a generator, which will assist with the facility;’s readiness for deployment in response to disasters.

The other entity, the Caribbean Science Foundation was presented with $250, 000 to support programmes targeted mainly the region’s youth. These include the Student Program for Innovation in Science and Engineering (SPISE), Caribbean STEM Olympiads, Barbados Junior Robotics Camps and the Caribbean Computer Coding Workshops.
