The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are today (February 24) brimming with ‘excitement’ at representing Queen Elizabeth II during official visits to Jamaica, Belize and The Bahamas next month.

A post on the verified Twitter page of Prince William and his wife, Kate, stated on Thursday that they are ready to kickstart the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by immersing themselves in the respective Caribbean cultures.

“We are so excited to visit Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas next month as we mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We can’t wait to meet people in all three countries, celebrate local cultures and understand more about innovative work being done across communities. W & C,” tweeted @KensingtonRoyal.

The announcement comes just hours after King’s House released the first set of details surrounding the trip.

In a media statement this morning, the Office of the Governor-General indicated that House Cambridge’s visit to Jamaica would run for three days, between March 22 and March 24.
