A 43-year-old man from Water Lane in Falmouth, Trelawny has been charged with rape following an incident in Rock District on Monday, March 18.

His identity has been revealed as Damion Mais.

According to reports from the Falmouth police, at approximately 5 p.m., Mais allegedly approached a woman, brandished what appeared to be a gun, and forced her into a secluded area, where he reportedly sexually assaulted her.

He was pointed out to the police in the town of Falmouth by the victim on April 1. He was taken into custody.

He is scheduled to appear before the Trelawny Parish Court on Friday, April 12.
