Chris Brown goes up against potato chip brand Ruffles as he speaks out about brands mistreating him as a result of his 2009 assault on pop and R&B star, Rihanna.

Brown is no stranger to being criticised and ostracised by the media, however, 15 years later he has had enough of brands using his domestic violence charge as an excuse to belittle him or overlook him for deals and collaborations.

This weekend Friday, February 16, the Celebrity All-Star game went on without any issues with the scores being Team Shannon-100 and Team Stephen A-91.  Brown was invited to the game, then later on that invitation was rescinded.

After the game, Brown took to Instagram to make a statement, aimed at NBA and Ruffles,

“At this point, I am tired of people bothering me, and I’m tired of living in the f**king past. I posted the emails so you all could see them. The NBA still trying to get me to come courtside… Not f**king happening.” he said, “I only go where I am appreciated.”

Ruffles responded to Brown’s allegations with a post on their Instagram:

“Ruffles [five blue emoji caps] I guess yall tryna save face now!” Brown added “STAND ON BUSINESS. Don’t try to make it look like I’m trippin. YOU AND THE NBA representatives know exactly what y’all are doin.”

Ruffles has yet to respond to the Under the Influence singer, but it is clear Brown is over the folks bringing up his past as a reason to alienate him.
