Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are a famous boomerang celebrity couple, who reunited after spending nearly 20 years apart.

Their romance began in 2002 and ended a month before their wedding in 2004 when Affleck called it off. Lopez confirmed their second go at a relationship in July 2021 and they wed in Las Vegas in July 2022.

The Love Don’t Cost a Thing singer was asked by Affleck during an interview for her upcoming documentary, Greatest Love Story Ever Told, if she has forgiven Affleck for ending their first go at a relationship. Lopez said, “ I think I was angry at you for a long time.” She added, “But that heartbreak set both of us on a course to figuring ourselves out to bring better people. I think I’ve forgiven you all the way. I think I need to forgive myself [for] some things.”

Lopez understood that their relationship had to end for them to grow when being interviewed for her album, This is Me…Now, she told Variety,

“Our relationship crumbled under the weight of the pressure,” she said. “We lost a sense of ourselves, and we needed to separate because we didn’t know how to survive it. I had to figure myself out and he had to figure himself out.”

The Batman actor gave his thoughts on the ending of their previous relationship. “When Jen and I broke up before, the catalyst for that was the massive amounts of scrutiny around our private life.”

Between their break up and now, Lopez married and welcomed twins Max and Emme with singer/songwriter Marc Anthony.

Affleck married and welcomed children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel with movie star Jennifer Garner.

Four divorces later, three for Lopez and one for Affleck, the two, after a year together, retied the knot in 2022. Fans were ecstatic to see the couple continue their love story, with the romantics revelling in part two of ‘Bennifer’.
