Japanese genre-bender Vigorman and Jamaican alt-R&B standout Stalk Ashley have teamed up for a new single titled Fading Away—a cross-cultural collaboration that’s been three years in the making.
The track, produced by Vigorman himself alongside Jaxx and Gacha Medz, blends elements of reggae, hip-hop, and R&B. Accompanied by cinematic visuals shot by acclaimed 444 Director Shane Creative, Fading Away captures the ache of emotional distance while bridging two rich musical cultures.
To mark the release, Vigorman hosted a listening party and visual premiere on June 26 in Kingston, Jamaica, where both he and Stalk Ashley performed the track live for the first time.
The evening featured a special DJ set by Silent Addy, the globally recognised producer behind Billboard hit Shake It To The Max (FLY).
For Vigorman, Fading Away represents a pivotal moment—his first official international collaboration and a bold step into global music spaces. Known for his eclectic solo releases and deep roots in Japan’s hip-hop and reggae scenes, Vigorman has long been praised for his innovative style and emotive delivery.
“This track is a reflection of what’s possible when cultures connect on a deeper level,” Vigorman shared.
“Working with Stalk Ashley has been a dream—we come from different worlds, but the music finds common ground.”
Stalk Ashley, a rising voice in the Caribbean’s evolving R&B landscape, brings her signature mix of sensuality and soul to the collaboration, further cementing her position as a global force.
With Fading Away, both artists showcase the universal language of emotion and the power of sonic storytelling, offering a glimpse of the future of cross-cultural music.
