Canadian-born Kaillie Humphries who represents Team USA won the gold medal for the women’s monobob.

She changed teams after a harassment complaint against Bobsleigh Canada in 2018.

The 36-year-old did four runs with a total of 4:19:27

This is her fourth Olympic medal having picked up bronze in Pyeongchang, Sochi and Vancouver.

“This one does feel more emotional for me.

“Although each Olympic journey has been different, I’ve had to choose to walk away from my original birth nation. I’ve had to fight. There have been a lot people that have tried to stand in my way. And there have been a lot of obstacles to get to this point.”
