NBA superstar Lebron James is set to release yet another children’s book, for the second consecutive year, on August 31, 2021.
The book, which is to be entitled We Are Family, comes on the heels of his first book released last August called I Promise which went on to become a New York Times bestseller.
According to a HarperCollins Children’s Book news release, the 36-year-old’s new book will follow the lives of five friends from a variety of backgrounds and with different ambitions who team up to “save their basketball season and prove that sometimes getting a chance is all it takes to succeed”.

Commenting on the book’s release, James said: “Everyone has a story and unique set of challenges they’re going through that we don’t hear about. We Are Family shows how an unlikely group of kids comes together to chase their dreams, despite having the odds stacked against them.”
He added: “It’s an important story of family, purpose and perseverance in the face of adversity that I hope inspires everyone who reads it to never stop dreaming and believing in what they’re capable of.”
The book is being co-authored by Nashville-based journalist and author, Andrea Williams who is best known for her adult and children’s books which often feature civil rights and sports figures.
