
Ah yes! It’s finally Friday, which means the weekend is here! But, this is not just any weekend.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you must know by now that Jamaica is celebrating its 60th anniversary of Independence tomorrow (August 6).
There will be plenty of celebratory activities this week.

Synopsis: Ivanhoe Martin leaves the rural Jamaica and heads to Kingston for work. At first, he struggles to find a job but then he has the idea to write a song called ‘The Harder they Come’. He brings the song to a producer who refuses to pay him, leaving him struggling to make ends meet. While his song tops the music charts, Ivanhoe engages in petty crimes to pay the bills.

Synopsis: A Jamaican bobsleigh team fights many odds as they prepare to compete in the 1988 Winter Olympics. They train in hot temperature but will compete in low temperatures that will chill their bones.
