Tim Seifert struck an unbeaten 105 as Saint Lucia Kings beat Trinbago Knight Riders by 36 runs in Match 17 of the Caribbean Premier League at Queen’s Park Oval.

Asked to bat first, the Kings came out firing. Seifert and Kamil Pooran pushed the score to 64 for one after six overs, peppering the boundary with 11 fours during an explosive PowerPlay.

Seifert remained at the centre of the action, rotating the strike, finding gaps and building valuable partnerships with Pooran, Campbell and Charith Asalanka. TKR’s bowlers had few answers as the Kings continued piling on the runs, with Abdul-Raheem Toppin and Drakes coming in for particularly heavy punishment.

The biggest late over assault came from Asalanka, who launched Drakes for three consecutive sixes in the 17th over. Seifert then completed a memorable hundred, becoming the first batter to reach three figures in CPL 2026.

His unbeaten 105 carried Saint Lucia to 211 for four from 20 overs, the highest total of the tournament at that point and a daunting target for the home side.

TKR responded with plenty of aggression as Colin Munro and Sunil Narine raced to 56 without loss in the PowerPlay. But the chase quickly unravelled when Roston Chase ripped through the top order with three wickets in four deliveries in the eighth over, removing Narine, Breetzke and Pooran.

Munro kept fighting before Bishop removed him for 48, with Chase completing the catch. Kieron Pollard then threatened a late comeback with some heavy hitting, but Matthew Forde ended the danger by forcing a top edge and taking the return catch.

TKR eventually finished on 175 for six, leaving the Kings celebrating a convincing 36 run victory. It was Saint Lucia’s second straight win, with Seifert’s unbeaten century providing the perfect centre piece to another powerful Kings performance.
