Family and friends gathered solemnly at the St Andrew Parish Church in Half-Way Tree to celebrate the life of late businesswoman Melissa Silvera on Friday (January 12).
Bereaved husband, Jolyan Silvera, wept openly at the loss of his wife during the melancholic procession—hailed the mother of four as the heartbeat of his family.

The former People’s National Party (PNP) MP for St Mary Western could not bring himself to read his wife’s eulogy, relying on his mother Cynthia for strength.
Silvera died last November at the age of 42.

Preliminary reports indicated that Silvera died in her sleep on November 10.
The death has since been elevated to a possible murder investigation after a post mortem revealed that she was shot at least three times.
