● Jamaica ranked second among the cities with the best rating across the Caribbean region.
● For the first time, the app shares with its user’s details of how their rating is calculated, as well as the best and worst evaluations they have received.
● To improve its rating, Uber shares with its users the recommendations of lessor partners.

When securing a lease through the Uber app, users and lessor partners can rate each other with the goal of improving everyone’s experience. Based on this information, Uber has released a list of the top countries across the Caribbean region with the highest average ratings given to its users by their lessor partners.
Puerto Rico was the country with the best ratings, followed by Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
“Placing among the top highest-ranking countries in the Caribbean region confirms the warmth of the Jamaican people. The app was first made available in June and since then it has received overwhelming support from users in the country. We are happy and committed to continuing to offer the best experience for the entire user community in the country,” Uber said.
The rating of each user is the average of the last 500 leases made, so the user will always have the opportunity to improve their rating. One way to do this is by taking into consideration some of the reasons lessor partners claim to have given low ratings to their users.

Among these reasons are :
● Punctuality: Be considerate of others’ time and try to be ready to go when the lessor partner arrives.
● Respect: Treat the lessor partner and his vehicle the way you would like to be treated. As established in the Uber App Community Guidelines, users and lessor partners must feel comfortable and respected.
● Do not slam the door: Lessor partners consider that slamming the door is inconsiderate and rude on the part of users.
● Masks and ventilation: Lessor partners appreciate that users wear their masks properly and keep the windows partially open during the lease.
For users who want to know their rating, they will find in the app how many lessor partners have rated them as a five-star lease and how many gave the lowest possible rating of one star. The breakdown of user ratings is available in the Uber app’s Privacy Center, which can be accessed online or by logging into the app.
