Visual Vibe Limited, the digital advertising subsidiary of Kintyre Holdings (JA) Limited, has entered into a partnership with Rush Hour Engineering to implement solar power across its entire network of digital advertising screens islandwide.

Going forward, every screen in the Visual Vibe network — existing and newly deployed — will be powered by solar energy.

The initiative will completely eliminate downtime caused by power outages, guaranteeing advertisers continuous, uninterrupted playback across the network, 24 hours a day. The move also positions Visual Vibe as one of the first fully solar-powered digital out-of-home networks in the Caribbean, significantly reducing the company’s energy costs and carbon footprint.

Installation begins this week and will roll out across all locations alongside Visual Vibe’s ongoing network upgrade, which includes the deployment of 10–15 brand-new, high-resolution screens, upgrades to the company’s flagship sites, and expansion into new premium locations along the Lady Musgrave corridor. The programme follows the company’s recent launch of its Indoor Digital Advertising Network across 15 Knutsford Express locations islandwide.

“Reliability is the currency of advertising. When a brand invests in our network, their campaign must be on screen every single time — and rising energy costs and grid outages have been a real challenge for our entire industry,” said Tyrone Wilson, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Kintyre Holdings and CEO of Visual Vibe. “This partnership with Rush Hour Engineering solves that permanently. By taking our screens off-grid, we are eliminating downtime completely, protecting our advertisers’ investment, and building the kind of resilient, sustainable media infrastructure that Jamaica deserves. It is a multimillion-dollar commitment to our clients and to the environment.”

“We are proud to partner with Visual Vibe on a project of this scale,” said Edwin Xiao, President and CEO of Rush Hour Engineering. “Powering Jamaica’s largest digital advertising network entirely with solar energy demonstrates what renewable technology can do for the country’s

commercial infrastructure. This partnership sets a new standard for how media assets are powered across the region.”

“Our clients will feel this immediately,” said Shameel Brown, Co-CEO of Visual Vibe. “Every advertiser on our network will be updated as their locations are upgraded, and from there they can count on their campaigns running around the clock — regardless of what is happening with the grid.”

The solar installation programme is expected to be completed across the full network in phases, with clients receiving updates at every stage of the rollout.
