Miami Dolphins have made a bold move, sending star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos in a deal that could reshape both franchises.

The trade sees Waddle and a 2026 fourth-round pick heading to Denver, while Miami receives the Broncos’ 2026 first-round pick (No. 30), along with third and fourth round selections.

Drafted sixth overall in 2021, Waddle quickly became one of Miami’s most reliable offensive weapons. Over five seasons, he recorded three 1,000-yard campaigns and delivered a standout 2022 season, leading the league in yards per reception with 18.1. He leaves the Dolphins with 26 career touchdowns and a reputation as one of the game’s most explosive receivers.

Now in Denver, Waddle joins a team that came close to a Super Bowl run last season. Quarterback Bo Nix led the Broncos to a 14–3 record and an AFC Championship appearance, putting up strong numbers along the way. With Waddle added to the mix, Denver gains a proven playmaker capable of stretching defences and creating opportunities across the field.

He slots into a receiving group that already includes Courtland Sutton, Troy Franklin, and Marvin Mims Jr, giving the Broncos another dangerous option on offence.

Back in Miami, the move signals a shift in direction under first-year head coach Jeff Hafley, as the team looks to reshape its roster with an eye on the future.
