New-age dancehall artiste Malie Donn is ready to move beyond the singles and present a broader image of his artistry with the release of his full 21-track debut studio album, “The Golden Child”,  yesterday September 4, 2026, via VP Records.

Rooted in Malie Donn’s journey from Spanish Town to Waterford, Portmore, “The Golden Child” captures the confidence and realities that have shaped his rise. The album pairs his signature melodic flow with a more developed perspective, revealing an artist determined to build a lasting career while remaining connected to the sound and experiences that introduced him to dancehall audiences.

“The Golden Child represents everything that brought me to this point: the pressure, the growth, the wins and the lessons,” Malie Donn shares. “This album gives people a chance to hear more of who I am as an artist, where I want to take the music next and the versatility I bring.”

Ahead of the album’s arrival, the official music video for its title track, “Golden Child,” featuring dancehall artiste Squash, premiered on September 3. This collaboration brings together two distinctive voices in modern dancehall and sets the stage for the album’s release one day later.

The project also arrives on the heels of “Holiday,” released on August 7 alongside its official music video. The single offered listeners an early glimpse of the album’s energy while showcasing a different side of Malie Donn.
